Maria Amino is the tritagonist of the TV series Ozzy and Drix. She serves as Drix's love interest and is a policewoman in Hector. She’s voiced by Tasia Valenza.

Personality[]

Maria is a very brave and strong woman. Tough and feisty, she'll do anything to protect Hector and every cell living there. Though she can be aggressive at times, she's overall friendly and caring, even if she's sometimes a little oblivious. She's quite tomboyish, determined and impulsive sometimes, making for a strong addition to the cast and Hector Police Department.

She is also competent and skilled.

Appearance[]

Maria is a light blue cell. She wears a short-sleeved orange t-shirt with a lighter hoodie, along with purple pants, black high heeled boots, oval earrings and red lipstick. She has her hair tied into a ponytail.

Background[]

Ozzy & Drix[]

She's a cop of the HPD in the city of Hector (a fictional version of the inner human body of Cuban-American teenager named Hector Cruz).

She first met Ozzy and Drix after they got sucked up by a mosquito, being transported from Frank to Hector's body. While she shows an initial attraction to Drix, their relationship doesn’t expand past friendship throughout the series, though many hints are dropped. She plays an integral role in the series and appears in most episodes, if not all of them.

Trivia[]

  • Her name comes from the amino acid.
  • She's the first female white-blood cell to be a recurring character.
  • Despite her midriff being exposed always, her belly button is not shown.
  • She has a brother named Ricardo Amino.
  • Had a father who implicitly died in the intestines.
  • Her last name is a play on the word amino acid.
